God My “Creator”
“In the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
"And GOD said, let there be light: and there was light… And GOD said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the water… And GOD said, Let the waters under heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.” (Genesis 1:3, 6, 9)
“I am the Lord thy GOD which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:2-3)
“Blessed be the GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of GOD through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the
last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5)
True prayer is impossible without the knowledge of God Almighty as our Creator. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the Creator to our hearts. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit reveals GOD’s omnipotence, GOD’s omniscience, and GOD’s omnipresence, the One who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and rules all—GOD Almighty. We can not live this Christian life unless we stand in awe at the mention of His name.
Throughout the Bible, the names of God represent GOD’s divine nature and relationship to HIS people. The various names of God represent Him as He is known, and through the name ELOHIM, He presents Himself—His love, power, mercy, and glory—to His creation.
